As you get to know my animals, remember that they have all come into my care as rescues or due to rehoming situations. I am committed to providing my animals with the forever homes and care that they deserve. My amazing animals are my partners in providing fun-filled animal education!

ELVIS - Great Green Macaw

The superstar himself! Elvis is a Great Green Macaw who is smart and a little bit bossy. He is truly the king! A few fun facts about this amazing bird species:

Size: 2.7-3.5 lbs

Diet: Nuts, seeds, and fruit

Lifespan: 50 years in the wild, 60-80 years in captivity

Habitat & Range: Wet, humid forests of Central America

Threats: This species is endangered, which means their wild populations are greatly threatened by loss of habitat due to logging, mining, agriculture, and urbanization. They are also threatened by illegal pet trade. It is estimated that fewer than 2,500 mature Great Green Macaws remain in the wild! So, interacting with a bird like Elvis is truly a priveledge.

ZEUS- Piebald Ball Python

Zeus is truly one of a kind! With his mostly white body and a unique "smiley face" marking near his tail, he always turns heads. Gentle and easy-going, Zeus is known for his calm personality, making him the perfect snake for anyone who might be meeting one for the first time.

 

Fun Facts about Ball Pythons:

Size: 3-5 feet long, 2-5 lbs

Diet: Small mammals like mice and

rats

Lifespan: 20-30 years in captivity

Habitat & Range: Grasslands and

open forests of sub-Saharan Africa

TOOTHLESS - Blue-Tongued Skink

Toothless is named after the famous dragon from How to Train Your Dragon, and just like his namesake, he's full of personality! He may puff up and act tough, but really, he's a gentle little lizard with a curious streak. His striking blue tongue is always a crowd favorite!

 

Fun Facts about Blue-Tongued Skinks:

Size: 18-24 inches

Diet: Omnivores - fruits, veggies,

insects, and protein

Lifespan: 15-20 years in captivity

Habitat & Range: Grasslands, forests,

and deserts of Australia and Indonesia

Special Feature: Their bright blue

tongue is used to startle predators!

NALA - Lionhead Rabbit

Nala is just as majestic as her name suggests! With her beautiful fluffy mane, she looks like a tiny lion but has the sweetest and most gentle personality. She loves attention and is always a favorite with kids and adults alike.

 

Fun Facts about Lionhead Rabbits:

Size: 2.5-3.5 lbs

Diet: Hay, fresh veggies, and rabbit

pellets

Lifespan: 7-10 years in captivity

Habitat & Range: Domesticated

breed, originally from Belgium

Special Feature: Their signature

"mane" of fur around the head, resembling a lion's mane.

LUNA - Sumatran
Blood Python

At nearly 5 feet long and weighing around 20 pounds, Luna is our showstopper! Her impressive size can be a little intimidating at first, but she's just as calm and gentle as the rest of our snakes. Luna reminds everyone that even the biggest animals can have the kindest hearts.

 

Fun Facts about Sumatran Blood Pythons:

Size: 4-6 feet long, 20-30 lbs

Diet: Small mammals, birds, and

reptiles

Lifespan: 20-25 years in captivity

Habitat & Range: Swamps, marshes, and rainforests of Sumatra and surrounding islands

Special Feature: Known for their heavy bodies and stunning patterns, they are powerful but non-venomous constrictors.

HELENE - Cockatiel

Helene was named for the hurricane during which she was born. Though born during a storm, she is sweet and gentle. Cockatiels are social in the wild and live in groups of about 12 birds, although they may form flocks numbering in the hundreds when food is plentiful. They are a small species of parrot, but unlike some larger species, cannot imitate the human voice. Cockatiels can mimic melodies, however, and can sing.

Size: 12-14" in length

Diet: Includes seeds, grains, and insects

Lifespan: 16-25 years

Habitat & Range: Native to Australia and Tasmania, arid or semi-arid regions, always on the move searching for food and water

Threats: Although this species is classified as "least concern", wild populations are still threatened by habitat destruction and by illegal pet trade.

CLEO - Mahogany Ball Python

Cleo is still growing, but she's already a beauty. With delicate light-brown eyes and elegant infinity-shaped markings along her scales, she's a living piece of art. Growing to about 3 feet so far, Cleo shows guests the diversity and wonder of the snake world with her calm and graceful presence.

Size: 3 feet (still growing

Temperament: Calm and gentle


Diet: Small rodents

Fun Fact: Cleo's unique markings make her look like she's wearing a natural work of art.

KAA - Viper Boa

Small but stunning, Kaa is a vibrant little boa with bold patterns and colors that stand out right away. Growing only to about 3 feet, he's the perfect ambassador for those who love snakes but prefer them on the smaller side.

His unique look makes him a crowd favorite.

Species: Viper Boa

Size: ~3 feet

Temperament: Calm and curious

Diet: Small rodents

Fun Fact: Kaa loves to explore his enclosure and often enjoys gentle handling sessions.
